This is a B movie at best, it plays more like a tv drama than a real movie, a little hammy. there are better things to watch.

You won't want too - this is a poor movie

This is a great movie; post Apocalyptic, Denzel Washington, The Book and a really sharp knife - its a winning combination! The film that goes beyond the ‘what would you do if’ scenarios of a post nuclear war and looks for a deeper meaning to survival. Plus Denzel’s character is deep and intriguing. I kept expecting Viggo Mortensen to turn up (from The Road) as the setting was like another chapter of the same story, but that’s not a bad thing - and I’ll never look at someone with shaky hands in the same way! ;-)

This is a great movie, good performances from Gibson and Downey. It could have easily gone down the over the top action route but it avoided the pit falls of more recent action adventure movies. Instead what you get is a well written, well directed movie that while base on real events is a lot of fun to watch.

This is a good movie, its more than I expected. A good performance from Paul Gross and based on a true story gives the whole picture a different feel. who said Canadians can't make movies? A story of War and love and much different for the usual all American affairs, worth a watch.

This is not much of a Comedy and not much of a drama due in part to the poor story line and strange character development particularly with Dustin Hoffman's and Matthew Broderick's characters. Its a shame because it had the potential with the stars on display to be a good movie but it falls flat. 2/5 stars

One of the great westerns, bandits on the run. Really tense, exciting and funny. its worth a watch and if you've never seen it where have you been?

This is a harsh, cold and very bleak film; the true tale of the Donner party shows us the side of early settling life that wasn't much fun. The movie is slowly paced, which adds to the emotional journey the members of the Donner party go through in their fight for survival.

This is a quirky and well made movie. It is a continuation of firefly the tv series but its also a good stand alone film, an exciting and quick paced Scifi that has a subtle star wars/American civil war type feel to it. Its won a few awards so if you like this genre you like this Film.

This is a good science fiction Movie, Visually its outstanding and the acting is strong and captivating throughout. Hugh Jackman and Rachel Weisz complement each other exceptionally well in a story that speaks of life, love and death, and man's effort to avoid or embrace the later. Darren Aronofsky the director said "[The film is] very much like a Rubik's cube, where you can solve it in several different ways, but ultimately there's only one solution at the end." The narrative does jump around but I felt that this added to the film's depth and 'other worldliness'. A really Good watch

Gattaca is a forgotten gem of a scifi, its not action packed but the story is well thought out and brilliantly acted. Raised glasses to Ethan Hawke and Jude Law in a tense and dramatic presentation of the future. The movie produces fresh questions about the human genetics debate while reminding us that there is more to us than just our genes. Get the popcorn ready!

This is a great tough western and the narrative drags you through just about all of the 'classic western' scenery during the course of the movie. Liam Neeson and Pierce Brosnan are fantastic and fit the roles of pursued and pursuer perfectly. The pace is quick and tense and the story is a Good one, driven by revenge and guilt. so watch it "and you get what's coming to you. - Boy." - Gideon

This is an amazing western, Jimmy Stewart was an exceptional actor and this is another great performance. The movie is well written and cleverly scripted, its funny and neatly produced. Its what a western should be; not all long stares and quick draws its more like life, chance and coincidence with a bit of charm thrown in. Top movie!

This is a great Western, Stylish and carefully put together by Costner and his team. The pace of the movie builds from the beginning, I wouldn't say its slow but it gives you a chance to take in the awesome vistas! Great performances from both leading men, Robert Duvall and Costner complement each other very well and just wait for the action; it will keep you on the edge of your seat! Worth a night in.

This is a Good watch, It is quite long at 120 minutes and most young kids will probably get restless. The picture is very loosely based on a true story as only Disney can, almost like Chinese whispers, but that shouldn't stop you watching it. Paul Walker and Bruce Greenwood put in good performances and of course so do the Dogs. If you don't have one you'll want one by the end! (a Dog that is)

This is quite a hollow story, its not exactly a feel good film but Jake Gyllenhaal puts in a great performance. It certainly is more about the battle Marines face with boredom and a sense of isolation rather than a physical enemy. Jarhead is not a standard war movie but it raises a lot of interesting questions and its pretty deep it you give it a chance.

Its an epic tale, based on Michael Shaara's 1974 novel The Killer Angels, a lot of fighting, a great deal of national pride and a huge lose of human life. It is one of the longest films ever released by a Hollywood studio, Gettysburg runs 254 minutes (4 hours, 14 minutes) But it is a story that's worth retelling.

A Great story, there is something for everyone - You do not need to be a western fan to enjoy this film, but if you love westerns you'll love it. Steely performance from Ben Foster with both Russell Crowe and Christian Bale keeping the tension high and the drama explosive. A must see.

Who doesn't love Sean Connery? especially when he's playing a role that seems tailor made, ex-British Army... MI6 too Mr Bond..? Well James Bond The Rock isn't but action and adventure, car chases and chemical weapons it is. (although that does sound like 007) Ed Harris puts in a good performance in his role as the grieving and angry general with a particularly poor taste in friends. The partnership between Cage and Connery is a good one, with Cage playing the nerdy genius in the fight against terror - only this time its U.S.Marines gone crazy! its action through and through.

An interesting account of the 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry's contribution to the Civil war. This real life story has its share of historical inaccuracy but they are minor in some respects (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Glory_%28film%29). The flow of the film seems rushed at times, perhaps in an effort to get all the facts in. However, good performances from Denzel Washington (who won the academy award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role)and Morgan Freeman, which bolster a picture that otherwise teeters on the edge of becoming just a historical account. The story telling is just strong enough to save it, but there isn't much for those who don't have a general interest in American history. This is a band of brothers type movie and it is worth a watch.

An average movie that struggles with poor character development in a Cliché frontier town that has its own 'dark secrets'. you want to want someone to win but its only every really about Eastwood's character, which is simple at best - leaving the storytelling falling flat. Its makes you feel removed from the events and in places board. Not to mention the rape scene... why oh why? There are many better westerns out there this one is a dead end.

This is probably Tarantino's best movie, its fictional which will annoy some people and the characters in my opinion lack depth. But he builds tension well and the story runs at a good pace. He has some great actors and has brought out brilliant performances all round, Tarantino does however have a tenancy to glorify violence and brutality, meaning the film has no moral compass. One fact that seems to have been omitted (perhaps intentionally) is that not all German soldiers were Nazis'. Still a good fiction!

Robert Downey Jr was the best thing, but there is nothing new in this movie. it just wasn't that funny - average 'stupid' comedy

An interesting and thought provoking Movie, Good story telling and I didn't even notice the subtitles after a while. Very moving and very well acted.

Interesting Movie; a refreshing break from the usual Hollywood horror 'jump feast'. I really like how the black noise rather than music builds the tension. Pretty freaking to watch on screen, even worse when it happens in real life. I heard the the writers took some ideas from The Awakening by Friedrich Zeundel, which is a true story. (http://www.ploughbooks.co.uk/english/the-awakening.html) Still it is strange these people only talk about getting help and never go and get any. Its not just catholic exorcists that can get rid of demons.
