This is such a great movie that is based on the true story of Anthony Swafford career in the Marines. It shows very well what goes on the mind of your average soldier. Very well made. When it was up for an oscar it should have won! 5 out of 5 stars

This movie based on a former marine, made quite an impression to me! I think many fellow marines, soldiers can relate to this movie. 8/10

This is quite a hollow story, its not exactly a feel good film but Jake Gyllenhaal puts in a great performance. It certainly is more about the battle Marines face with boredom and a sense of isolation rather than a physical enemy. Jarhead is not a standard war movie but it raises a lot of interesting questions and its pretty deep it you give it a chance.

Thought there was going to be more shooting? But nice to see a war movie not covered in limbs being blown off etc. 4/5

OOoh I love this film... all those cute guys stripping off! Oh and yeah, its about the first Iraq invasion... the one that lasted for just a few hours....It's pretty good and Jakey looks wonderful (as always)

This is to correct zshan. Dear zshan they are not Army, they are Marines. Marine don't like to be confused with the Army, as a none active Marine, the politest way I can think of correcting you is to call you a SHIT HEAD.. Oh and what would know about Army life, and please don't come back ans tell us your were in the Army, because if you were you would know the difference between the Army and the Marines. Thank You..
