The Notebook deserves more credit then it receives. This is a wonderful love story. The movie revolves around Allie Hamilton (Rachel McAdams) and Noah Calhoun (Ryan Gosling). Allie Hamilton comes to Seabrook, North Carolina (this was special to me because I am from North Carolina and its thrilling to see anything set around me) to spend the summer with her family. While at a Carnival she meets a local boy, Noah Calhoun. Right away you can tell these two are destined to be together.

Allie's mother and father are not happy with Allie's relationship with Noah. His family is poor and her family is wealthy so they automatically think he is not good enough for their daughter. Sallie's parents become determined to separate the two for good so they force Allie to move away. Their relationship is never forgotten between each other and after waiting 7 years Allie moves back to Seabrook. She gets engaged to a wealthy young solider named Lon (James Marsden). Her parents approve because they feel he is worthy of Allie.

Allie met Lon while she was working at a GI hospital. Allies life is going great until she sees the newspaper, on the front page it's Noah standing in front of a 200 year old house. This happens to be the same house where he had taken Allie to on one of their romantic dates. She had told him exactly how she would make the house and he restored the house exactly the way Allie wanted it. Allie goes to the house to see Noah.

After having an affair for several nights with Noah, Allie must now decide wether her love for him is great and real enough for her to cancel her marriage and leave her fiance Lon.

This movie was critically acclaimed it is a girly flick but anyone who respects or enjoys film should get plenty of satisfaction watching a masterpiece like this!

The Notebook is a great movie. This movie shows how love does not lessen with distance and with time. Noah truely loved Allie, and he was willing to give her all of his love and a wonderful home. Noah lived his life to love Allie and his family. It is such a great love story. There are so many memorable quotes from this movie. If you have not already seen it you for sure should especially if you like love stories this is by far one of the best.

I'm a lover for romance movies :] and I really enjoyed watching this movie.. My favorite part was when it started raining and he said "it wasn't over and it still isn't" :] so sweet, I always cry when I watch this movie, maybe my someone special can someday sweep me off my feet and we can have a happily ever after romance like this :]
