In the highly anticipated new installment of The Terminator film franchise, set in post-apocalyptic 2018, Christian Bale stars as John Connor, the man fated to lead the human resistance against Skynet and its army of Terminators. But the future Connor was raised to believe in is altered in part by the appearance of Marcus Wright (Sam Worthington), a stranger whose last memory is of being on death row. Connor must decide whether Marcus has been sent from the future, or rescued from the past. As Skynet prepares its final onslaught, Connor and Marcus both embark on an odyssey that takes them into the heart of Skynet's operations, where they uncover the terrible secret behind the possible annihilation of mankind.

While T-3 nearly failed at giving a good look at the near-end of Humanity by SKYNET It did succeed, barely, and that is saying something. McG's "Terminator Salvation" delivers the beginning of the end of the war for Earth and the survival of mankind. But while this is what Terminator fans have been waiting for for almost twenty-five years it falters on many levels and almost falls flat on it's face when it needs to stand strong, but none the less It's an entertaining entry in the long beloved genre.







"Terminator Salvation" while nowhere near as good as "The Terminator" and "Terminator 2:Judgment Day" It does give us what we want and delivers what it promises. An action packed, mind blowing action/ adventure but even that may not please you if your a first timer or not a faithful lover of the first three you may not be too pleased with the robotic script and acting, but like the third this one doesn't truly disappoint it just doesn't live up to the story as well as it should. But all in all it's a pretty good installment in the new trilogy and a good continuation of the original story but it falls short far too many times to really be called great.




Chrsitian Bale who rocks as Batman but fails to impress as the legendary John Connor, his performance is too mechanical and only helps in bringing down the film instead of lifting it too new heights. Sam Worthington (who I have never heard of until I saw this movie.) Is actually the savior of this film his performance is more human and emotional and he alone saves this film from being a total waste of 200 million dollars. But all in all the cast does pretty good, most of them saving the film others bringing it down but mostly they do alright in this and make this actioneer a must see.





McG's "Terminator Salvation" is taunt, gritty, atmospheric, stylish and a thought out film, but not thought out well enough when being filmed. It falls short in some parts and in others in soars.But all in all T-4 is a must see action film steeped in dark nostalgia of the old films and a high grade visual style that will enthrall you if not make you completely forget about the bad script and robotic acting, "Terminator Salvation" delivers.

Terminator Salvation with its endless action scenes and big explosions feels more like a video game than a movie. The rusty script, involves a continuing battle between man and machine, except that this time round it's set in 2018.

The world lies in ruins inhabited by giant robots, and self-prophesied leader of the human resistance John Connor – played by Christian Bale – is still delivering dull radio broadcasts.

On this adventure, JC must locate teenager Kyle Reese and infiltrate Skynet Headquarters. By way of new characters, you have the mysterious warrior Marcus Wright (played by Sam Worthington), a former Death Row inmate who harbors a dark secret.

Packed with fast-paced action scenes in which characters are stalked by massive robots, chased by super-fast motorbikes, and attacked by snake-like mechanical creatures in a lake, Terminator Salvation has little in terms of plot and lots by way of exciting set-pieces. Unfortunately, that doesn't a good film make.

This fourth installment in the Terminator series has almost none of that fearless spirit that made the first two movies – particularly T2 – so much fun. It's remarkably shot, though, in varying shades of grey, khaki and sepia; and it knocks you on the head with its never-ending assault of high-octane action. If that's your thing, give this film a chance.

I'll go with two out of five and at best an average rating for Terminator Salvation.

Judging by Christian Bale's permanent scowl in this film, I can only assume it was as difficult making this film as it was watching it.

no. the hype for this was a bunch of bull. so bored after ten minutes i stopped watching and had to keep reminding myself to tune back into the film. do not waste your time watching this, you will only get bored and annoyed at the big finish you wait for never arrives. crap.

I just got back from seeing a midnight screening of the newest installment in The Terminator franchise, going into it with an open mind after witnessing the debacle that was T3 several years ago. Having said this, I honestly felt at though this movie did a fantastic job of translating the visions of the future that were set up in the original Terminator and T2 and fleshing out a feature-length film of them. While there indeed a few "what in the hell were they thinking" moments in the chase scenes, I felt that on the whole, the movie was a wonderful success, gripping me in a way that T3 never came close to. I truly hope prospective viewers give this film the shot that it rightly deserves and go into it with an open mind, and are able to just sit back and enjoy the ride...its a terrific one, trust me. Leaving the theater, I honestly felt as though this one gave the first two a run for their money as a film, as much as it pained me to say it. Truly a magnificent job breathing life into a series that could have very easy been done in once and for all with another terrible installment.
